Businesses Rebounding from Crisis, Improving IAQ
Like most businesses, Aeroseal is working remotely and following #stayathome orders while we focus on getting our employees, customers, and partners safely through the COVID-19 crisis.
Pivot & Prepare
We’ve been buoyed by an emerging theme we’re participating in — companies preparing to come back from the crisis new, improved and ready to do their part to help push the economy past this historic low point.
Many companies, including Aeroseal, are investing this forced downtime into improving their operations. Last week, our commercial team cleaned and sealed our ductwork system.
Your Building Can Make You Sick or Keep You Well
From the government and education to healthcare and corporate offices, many commercial facilities are taking advantage of stay-at-home orders to improve their buildings’ indoor air quality (IAQ).
The importance of IAQ in residential and commercial buildings has never been more apparent. In fact, a recent New York Times article states “proper ventilation, filtration, and humidity reduce the spread of pathogens like the new coronavirus.”

A Four-Phase Process to Improve IAQ
The Aeroseal HQ was divided into five different segments of ductwork and the entire process scheduled accordingly. The commercial is cleaning and sealing one segment of ductwork at a time, following its four-phase process to systematically improve indoor air quality.
Setup for each process usually takes longer than the cleaning and sealing themselves. And during the sealing process, we can see leakage decrease as it happens with our software. And as you can see in the visual above, we’ll have a certificate of verification for each segment.
We may not know exactly when Aeroseal employees will return to the company’s new headquarters, but we do know they will come back to a building with cleaner and healthier indoor air. In addition to the IAQ improvements, we’ll also use less energy and have a more comfortable work environment.
