2024 U.S Rebates

Energy rebates are incentives provided by government entities or utility companies to encourage the adoption of energy-efficient products and practices. These rebates can significantly reduce the cost of energy-efficient products and practices, including Aeroseal technologies. 

Please see the list below with location details to know what may be applicable. In addition, Aeroseal has provided a IRA Manufacturer’s Certificate as a resource for you.Please be sure to consult with a tax professional for verification of how these rebates can apply to you and your energy efficient product and technology purchases. 

National

Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit

Aeroseal technology purchases are eligible for the 25C tax credit that is detailed here: https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/energy-efficient-home-improvement-credit . The credit equals 30% of the expense. The maximum that can be claimed each year is $1,200 for all eligible energy efficiency improvements.

Arizona

+ Arizona – Duct Test and Repair Rebate – SRP

Overview – The SRP Duct Test and Repair Rebate™ helps identify places in the home where energy escapes. The program covers 75% of repair costs or up to $400 of duct testing and qualified repairs performed by participating contractor.

Discount/Rebate Amount – 50% of cost

Connecticut

+ Connecticut – Home Energy Solutions – EnergizeCT – available to customers of Eversource, UI, CNG, and SCG

Overview – Utility-approved technicians will evaluate your home’s energy performance and install basic weatherization and energy-saving measures like duct sealing.

Discount/Rebate Amount – 100% of the cost covered is for income-eligible customer only

+ Connecticut – Advanced Duct Sealing Rebate – EnergizeCT – available to customers of Eversource and UI

Overview – Participate in Home Energy Solutions (link: https://energizect.com/energy-evaluations/HES) to determine your system eligibility for advanced duct sealing. The Home Energy Solutions contractor will provide a signed rebate if the heating and/or cooling systems are eligible.

Discount/Rebate Amount – $1750

Delaware

+ Delaware – Home Performance with ENERGY STAR – Energize Delaware (DESEU)

Overview – After a whole home inspection, a contractor will prepare a detailed work proposal outlining recommend improvements including duct sealing.

Discount/Rebate Amount – $650 for 20% improvement; $800 for 40% improvement

 

+ Delaware – Assisted Home Performance with ENERGY STAR – Energize Delaware (DESEU)

Overview – After a whole home inspection and you meet the income-qualifications, a contractor will prepare a detailed work proposal outlining recommend improvements including duct sealing.

Discount/Rebate Amount – $750 for 20% improvement; $900 for 40% improvement

Georgia

+ Georgia – Energy Efficient Existing Homes Rebate Program – Diverse Power

Overview – Diverse Power offers incentives to member consumers upgrading their existing water heating and/or heating and cooling systems (including ductwork) to more energy efficient.

Discount/Rebate Amount – 20% reduction: $600, 25% reduction: $800, 30% reduction: $1,000. Rebate dollar amount dependent on total leakage for duct and envelope.

+ Georgia –  Georgia Power – Homes Energy Improvement Program

Overview – Georgia Power offers rebates for individual improvements that homeowners may undertake to improve their home energy efficiency

Discount/Rebate Amount – 50% of cost up to $300

Illinois

+ Illinois – Duct Sealing – Nicor Gas

Overview – Air sealing work performed by a program approved contractor, homeowners can receive a rebate.

Discount/Rebate Amount – $600

 

+ Illinois – Peoples Gas – Weatherization Rebates

Overview – Peoples Gas offer weatherization rebates through approved contractors through their weatherization program

Discount/Rebate Amount – $2/CFM reduction, capped at $400

 

+ Illinois – North Shore Gas – Weatherization Rebates

Overview – Peoples Gas offer weatherization rebates through approved contractors through their weatherization program.

Maryland

+ Maryland – Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Incentive Program – PEPCO

Overview – After a whole home inspection, a contractor will prepare a detailed work proposal outlining recommend improvements including duct sealing.

Discount/Rebate Amount – $500; $750 if bundled with Air Sealing & Insulation

+ Minnesota – Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program – Minnesota Energy Resources (Gas)

Overview – Rebate is based on per CFM reduced, with a minimum of 50% energy reduction. Work must be done by licensed Aeroseal dealer.

Discount/Rebate Amount – $2.50/CFM reduction, capped at $500

Missouri

+ Columbia, MO – Home Performance Program – reducing ductwork leakage – Columbia Power Partners

Overview – After a building assessment by a certified Home Performance contractor, homeowners can receive a rebate based on CFM reduction.

Discount/Rebate Amount – $50 per 100 CFM reduction, capped at $300

New Hampshire

+ New Hampshire – Home Performance with Energy Star – NHSaves

Overview – After a whole home inspection, a contractor will prepare a detailed work proposal outlining recommend improvements including duct sealing.

Overview – Duct sealing rebate is only available under the multiple upgrade bonus rebate.

Texas

+ Garland, TX – EnergySaver Energy Efficiency Rebate Programs – “Wholehouse Weatherization Program” – Garland Power & Light

Overview – By participating in the EnergySaver Program and sealing your ducts, you can receive utility bill credits.

Discount/Rebate Amount – 50% of cost

 

+ Texas – Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program – Texas Gas Service

Overview – Eligible Texas Gas Service customers may qualify for rebates, in addition to the rebates offered through Austin Energy.

Discount/Rebate Amount – $0.08/sq ft of floor area

Washington

+ Washington – Home Weatherization rebates: Advanced Duct Sealing – Puget Sound Energy

Overview – A PSE Recommended Energy Professional (REP) or another PSE Trade Ally contractor will deduct the instant rebate amount from the invoice, reducing out-of-pocket cost. Contractor will then be reimbursed by PSE.
